Three Russian active duty officers killed in Donbas conflict zone - Ukrainian intelligence

KYIV. Dec 21 (Interfax) - Three Russian active duty officers have been killed in the military operation zone in Donbas as of Monday, December 21, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Department said on Monday.

"In the Bezimenne (Novoazovsk District) an explosion killed two Russian active duty officers who were performing their duties as military advisors in the ninth separate motorized infantry regiment (Novoazovsk) of the First Army Corps [the Defense Ministry of the Donetsk People's Republic]," the Department's spokesperson said.

Also, a shell attack on one of the units of the First Army Corps injured six militiamen and killed four, including one Russian active-duty "major," the spokesperson said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a press conference last Thursday that there are no Russian regular troops in eastern Ukraine.
