Patrushev discusses military-technical cooperation with Thai defense minister

MOSCOW. Feb 25 (Interfax) - The meeting between Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev and Thai Defense Minister Prawit Wongsuwan in Moscow on Thursday addressed bilateral military-technical cooperation.

"The meeting addressed issues relating to military-technical cooperation and issues relating to the joint fight against terrorism and extremism," the Russian Security Council press service reported.

According to the press service, Patrushev and Wongsuwan continued discussing vital issues relating to regional and international security that were addressed during the visit by the Russian Security Council secretary to Bangkok on January 11.

The meeting also addressed ways of further interaction between the Russian Security Council administration and the Thai National Security Council.

The general secretary of the Thai Council for National Security took part in the negotiations, the Security Council said.
