Opposition Syria High Negotiations Committee complains to UN that Russia, Syrian authorities 'violate truce'
MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - The opposition Syrian High Negotiations Committee sent a letter to the United Nations, in which they accused the Syrian troops and the Russian Aerospace Forces of violating the truce in Syria.
"We report to you with regret that hostile actions, which Russia, Iran, the Syrian regime, foreign armed units and their allied mercenaries are carrying out against Syrian people, did not stop, despite the truce has come into effect since February 27," says a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and signed by head of the High Negotiations Committee Riyad Hijab available to Interfax.
It said that the Russian Aerospace Forces on Sunday delivered 26 strikes on the areas, which are controlled by the opposition groups, who agreed on the ceasefire.
