One injured, five homes damaged in Ukrainian army's mortar attack in Mykolaivka - DPR Defense Ministry

DONETSK. March 9 (Interfax) - One civilian suffered injuries in a mortar attack on the village of Mykolaivka in the south of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the DPR Defense Ministry has said.

"The Ukrainian army shelled the village of Mykolaivka in the south of the DPR last night by use of 82mm mortars. A man born in 1952 suffered a belly wound, and five homes were damaged," the Donetsk news agency has quoted a ministry representative as saying.

He said the injured man was taken to the Telmanove central district hospital.

In turn, Kyiv claimed 43 militia attacks in the past 24 hours, including 37 in the Donetsk sector and five in the Mariupol area. The report of the army operation press center was posted on Facebook on Wednesday morning.
