Masterminds, perpetrators of explosion near Nazran mosque to be found soon - Yevkurov
MAGAS. March 11 (Interfax) - The leader of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov has called today's explosion near a mosque in Nazran a provocation.
"This is pure provocation, and those who carried it out decided to take advantage of the protracted problems in the religious environment," he told Interfax on Friday.
He expressed confidence that the crime will be resolved in the very near future.
"Law enforcement bodies will investigate everything, but that takes time, although already there is some information. I am sure that the perpetrators and masterminds of this crime will be found very soon and be brought to justice, as has always been the case," said the leader of Ingushetia.
Despite such incidents, Ingushetia is a fairly safe place, he said.
"No one is insured against such things, but the republic, thanks to the professionalism and well-coordinated work of all government agencies, law enforcement system, and the public, has achieved a fairly high level of security. And we are doing everything to preserve peace and quiet in our region," Yevkurov said.
He asked the people of Ingushetia, especially the young, not to follow the lead of those seeking to destabilize the region, and stressed that the public will be informed about progress in the investigation of the crime.
