Another four injured servicemen delivered to Yerevan from Karabakh

YEREVAN. April 3 (Interfax) - Another four servicemen injured in the hostilities in the Karabakh conflict area have been delivered to the Yerevan Military Hospital from the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), chief of the hospital Aram Asaturyan told reporters.

"Ten servicemen have been taken to the hospital so far. All of them have undergone surgeries. They are in a fair condition," Asaturyan said.

Six injured servicemen were delivered to Yerevan from Karabakh on Saturday.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said previously that 18 Armenian servicemen were killed and 35 were injured.

For his part, Azeri Defense Minister Zakir Gasanov said at a Security Council meeting on Sunday that nearly 100 enemy soldiers were killed and several hundreds of people were injured during a military operation, which the Azeri Armed Forces have carried out.

The situation in the Karabakh conflict area has sharply deteriorated in the small hours on Saturday. The hostilities started with the use of aircraft and artillery weapons. The parties to the conflict are blaming each other for violating the truce on the line of contact.

On Sunday afternoon, the Azeri Defense Ministry said it decided to unilaterally stop the hostilities. However, press secretary of the NKR Defense Ministry Senor Asratyan said that the hostilities continued in the Karabakh conflict area.

The sides report major enemy losses and own minor losses.
