DPR claims new Ukrainian army attacks

DONETSK. April 4 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army's mortars shelled the village of Spartak and the Donetsk airport area on Sunday evening, the Donetsk news agency said, with reference to a source in the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.

"The Ukrainian side mounted an attack on Spartak at about 9:30 p.m. The former airport area came under attack at approximately the same time. In all, two 120mm mines and 18 82mm mines were fired," the source said.

The shelling came from Ukrainian army positions near Avdiivka. Information about casualties is being verified, he said.
