Azerbaijani drone downed in Stepanakert - source
STEPANAKERT. April 8 (Interfax) - Air defense units of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic's Defense Army have downed an Azerbaijani drone in the NKR capital city of Stepanakert, a source from the Karabakh law enforcement authorities told Interfax on Friday.
"A hostile drone was detected on the outskirts of Stepanakert on Thursday; it was downed from the ground. Fortunately, it was a reconnaissance drone, not an attack one," he said.
The Azerbaijani army has been actively using unmanned weapons in the hostility zone. "The Azerbaijani side had sent its first unmanned aerial vehicle towards Stepanakert but air defense units of the Karabakh army were vigilant," the source said.
