FIFA President believes Russian authorities to provide top level of security at 2018 FIFA World Cup
MOSCOW. April 20 (Interfax) - Top security standards must be met during the Euro 2016 football tournament in France, and the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, FIFA President Gianni Infantino said.
Security is certainly an important and pressing matter, and a lot has yet to be done about it, he said. Infantino expressed confidence that all of the appropriate security measures will be in place during the European championship in France. The Russian authorities will, for their part, do all of the things necessary to maintain security at the top level, Infantino believes.
