Azerbaijani shells hit residential buildings in Karabakh's Martakert - Stepanakert

YEREVAN. April 26 (Interfax) - Artillery attacks of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces damaged residential buildings in the city of Martakert in the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) early on Tuesday morning.

"Homes and infrastructures were damaged in the city of Martakert as a result of the shelling," NKR governmental press secretary Artak Beglaryan wrote on Twitter.

"The Azerbaijani Armed Forces hit the city center," the Karabakh news agency ArtsakhPress said.

"Homes, stores and various infrastructures suffered complete or partial damage," the news agency said.

The NKR Defense Ministry said earlier that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces breached the truce over 80 times overnight, using practically every type of artillery weaponry at their disposal.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry accused the Armenian army of firing Grad rocket launchers on Azerbaijani populated localities in the Karabakh conflict zone in the early hours of Tuesday.

The ministry said the Armenian army breached the truce 113 times during the day.
