Enel Russia cuts electricity output 7% to 10 bln kWh in Q1

MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - Enel Russia power stations generated 10 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity in January-March 2016, 6.8% less than in the same period last year, the company said in a press release.

Output decreased mainly due to CCGT maintenance work at Nevinnomysskaya GRES, following a breakdown in December.

Power sales fell 6.37% to 11.52 billion kWh. Heat output declined 1.1% to 2 million Gcal.

Enel Russia operates the Konakovskaya, Nevinnomysskaya, Sredneuralskaya and Reftinskaya state district power plants (GRES). Italy's Enel owns a 56.43% stake, PFR Partners Fund I Limited has 26.4% and Prosperity Capital around 10%. Enel Russia has disclosed that Prosperity Capital acquired 6.33% of shares last year and that it expects the fund to nominate one candidate for the board of directors to be elected at the AGM. The list of candidates has not been disclosed yet.
