Intra-Syrian dialogue should be truly inclusive - Lavrov

VIENNA. May 16 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held talks with representatives of Syrian opposition in Vienna on Monday.

Representatives of Moscow, Cairo, Hmeimim opposition groups and the Kurdish Democratic Union Party attended the meeting.

"We have a very clear-cut line here: implement the agreements that the intra-Syrian dialogue should be truly inclusive and include the government delegation and the entire spectrum of opposition without exception," Lavrov said.

Addressing representatives of the opposition, the minister said that, contrary to other oppositionists, they did not attempt to put forth ultimatums, preliminary conditions, but sought a constructive dialogue and have already tabled a number of interesting and result-oriented proposals.

Lavrov said the meeting with oppositionists had been useful, ahead of his talks with United States Secretary of State John Kerry and an International Syria Support Group meeting.
