Still too early to discuss Libyan oil sector officials' visit to Moscow - Russian ambassador to Libya
MOSCOW. May 19 (Interfax) - The Libyan oil minister's remarks about plans of the country's oil sector officials to visit Moscow over the coming month are premature, and the Russian side has no information about preparations for such a visit.
"It is difficult to speak about any contacts between our countries at the level of ministries and agencies because the situation is still uncertain [in Libya]. It is still premature to speak about various visits to Moscow or from Moscow to Libya," Russian Ambassador to Libya Ivan Molotkov told Interfax.
Molotkov also said he has no information about any plans of Libyan oil industry officials to visit Moscow.
"It is the Russian side that should confirm such information," he said.
It was reported earlier, citing Tripoli Oil Minister Mashallah Zwai, that a delegation of Libyan oil sector officials would arrive in Moscow in the coming month for talks with representatives of Russian oil companies.
