Russia would be unable to provide 'Normandy Four' partners with package of proposals without coordination with DPR and LPR - Peskov
MOSCOW. May 24 (Interfax) - The package of proposals forwarded to the 'Normandy format' partners was coordinated by the Russian side with representatives of Donbas, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.
"In our opinion, it is impossible to adopt such decisions overlooking the points of view of Donbas representatives. [Without Donbas] such decisions have no prospects. Acting utterly and completely on the basis of the spirit and the letter of the Minsk agreements, this was coordinated with Donbas, and these counter-proposals were voiced," Peskov said.
According to Peskov, the package of proposals forwarded to the 'Normandy Four' partners during the latest telephone conversation between the leaders of Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine also addressed the elections, amnesty and other issues.
"It means that, in our view, it is also impossible to look at one of the elements outside the context of this general package. We believe all this should be considered as one package, being guided by the spirit and the letter of the Minsk agreements, as well as in coordination with representatives of Donbas," he said.
A report about Russian President Vladimir Putin's telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was posted on the Kremlin website.
