Russia, Singapore agree to step up work on free trade zone between EAEU, Singapore - Economic Development Ministry

MOSCOW. May 27 (Interfax) - Singapore has confirmed its interest in a free trade zone with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the intention to step up related efforts, Russian Deputy Economic Development Minister Stanislav Voskresensky said at a conference, 'Doing business with Russia. Opportunities and rules of the game on the Russian market', in Moscow on Friday.

"This morning, I had a telephone conversation with a Singaporean deputy trade minister who told us they had had preliminary consultations with all EAEU partners and confirmed their interest in the creation of a zone of free trade in goods and services with the EAEU," he said.

"It was agreed at the end of the conversation to accelerate the processing of Singapore's application filed with the Eurasian Economic Commission," the deputy minister said.
