LPR observes four Ukrainian attacks in past 24 hours

LUHANSK. June 1 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army conducted four attacks on the territory of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) in the past 24 hours, the LPR militia told Interfax on Wednesday.

"Tensions persist along the contact line; four attacks launched by the Ukrainian army were observed over the past day," a militia representative said.

The Ukrainian army thrice opened grenade launcher and infantry combat vehicle fire on the village of Veselohorivka from the side of Troitske and Myronivske on May 31, he said.

Also, the Ukrainian army's grenade launchers bombarded Lohvynove from the side of Luhanske, the militia said, adding "There are no casualties."

Kyiv said earlier on Wednesday that its positions in Donbas had come under 31 attacks. "A total of 15 attacks were perpetrated in the Donetsk sector, 14 in the Mariupol area and two in the Luhansk zone. Over a half of the ceasefire violations were observed after dark," the army operation press wrote on Facebook on Wednesday morning.
