Russia produces 1.3% less gas in 5M

MOSCOW. June 2 (Interfax) - Russian gas production fell 1.3% year-on-year in January-May 2016 to 265.428 billion cubic meters (bcm), the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex (CDU TEK) said.

The country produced 46.111 bcm in May alone. February 2016 had one day more than February 2015.

CDU TEK does not publish separate production figures for Gazprom - its figures are listed as 'estimated' output in the line for 'other producers,' which produced 193.232 bcm of gas in January-May this year, including 31.76 bcm in May alone.

Novatek produced 21.385 bcm of gas in January-May (4.131 bcm in May) and production-sharing agreement (PSA) operators - 11.372 bcm (2.28 bcm).

Of Russia's vertically integrated oil companies, Rosneft produced 19.218 bcm of gas in January-May (3.876 bcm in May) Lukoil produced 7.764 bcm (1.515 bcm), Surgutneftegas - 4.135 bcm (0.830 bcm) and Gazprom Neft - 5.605 bcm (1.168 bcm).
