Residential building damaged in attack in Donetsk's Makiyivka, no casualties - DPR Defense Ministry

DONETSK. June 24 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army shelled Makiyivka and Horlivka suburbs early on Friday morning, the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) said, adding that a residential building was damaged in Makiyivka.

"Tukhachevskogo Street was hit in the Krupskaya neighborhood in Makiyivka. A shell landed on house grounds, damaging a residential building. In all, seven apartments suffered damage," a ministry representative told the press on Friday.

"Fortunately, there are no casualties," he said.

The towns of Zaitseve and Holmivskyi (suburbs of Horlivka) came under attack at night, he said.

"Six houses were damaged in Zaitseve. One of the houses was hit directly. There are no casualties. A number of shells hit the town of Holmivskyi, too," he said.
