Tatneft planning to start gasoline production in 2017, provide it to own chain of filling stations in 2018
ALMETYEVSK. June 24 (Interfax) - Tatneft is planning to start production of automotive gasoline in 2017 and will provide it to its own retail chain, Tatneft CEO Nail Maganov told journalists on Friday.
"The components of gasoline will be produced already this year, which will provide for [the production of] Euro 5, and we will supply these components to our colleagues at TAIF. Next year our own gasoline will appear in the amount of somewhere around 1 million tonnes, which will allow us to cover 60%-70% of our chain of filling stations, and already in 2018 we will cover it completely, we will cover up to 1.8 million tonnes," Maganov said.
Currently the capacity of the Taneco complex is 7 million tonnes of oil a year (in 2015 the company refined 8.6 million tonnes). The plant for sales in the Tatneft retail chain will produce diesel fuel. In 2017 it is planned to bring the refining capacity of the oil complex to 14 million tonnes a year.
Tatneft's retail chain as at the end of 2015 included 692 filling stations, including rented ones, of which 567 are located in Russia, 110 in Ukraine and 15 in Belarus.
