Yasynuvata comes under attack, casualties sustained - DPR

DONETSK. July 1 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army has attacked Yasynuvata, a representative of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Defense Ministry told the press on Friday morning.

"Yasynuvata - 37, Kurortna Street: the shelling caused damage and casualties," the DPR Defense Ministry representative said.

He added that the number of casualties was being verified.

In turn, the Donetsk news agency reported with reference to a representative of the DPR defense and law enforcement agencies that two civilians were injured in Ukrainian army attacks on Dokuchayevsk and Yasynuvata.

"The Ukrainian side started firing multiple rocket launchers and 82mm and 120mm mortars on Dokuchayevsk at about 9 p.m. yesterday, injuring a man born in 1989. The attack on Yasynuvata began at 10:15 p.m., and a man born in 1971 suffered injuries," the Donetsk news agency quoted its source as saying.

A gas pipeline was damaged in Dokuchayevsk.
