U.S. spends $4.5 bln on development of Georgia - Kerry
TBILISI. July 6 (Interfax) - The United States has made a significant contribution to the development of Georgia, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said at a meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
Kerry said that he has full understanding of the challenges Georgia is facing and is proud that his country is making a contribution to the development of Georgia. Currently this contribution, only in terms of finances, amounts to $4.5 bln, he said.
Kerry said that the U.S. is also paying attention to such elements of the strategic cooperation with Georgia as the defense sector.
