TBILISI. July 6 (Interfax) - The memorandum on the security and defense sector, which has been signed by the United States and Georgia on Wednesday, will provide Georgia with the opportunity to purchase defense weapons and increase the number of joint drills, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said at the joint briefing with the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in Tbilisi on Wednesday.

"The memorandum grants us the opportunity to purchase defense weapons and armaments. Through this memorandum, we can put more emphasis on provision of security and hold more drills with our partners," he said.
