MOSCOW. July 8 (Interfax) - Editor-in-chief of the Zavtra newspaper, writer Alexander Prokhanov, has received the International Kim Il Sung prize in Moscow, an Interfax correspondent reported from the ceremony.

The International Kim Il Sung prize was awarded to Prokhanov "for distinguished contribution to the sacred cause of independence and peace in the world through application of the great Juche ideology."

Prokhanov has become the tenth winner of the prize and the first Russian to receive it.

The prize includes a certificate, a gold medal and a trophy decorated with sapphires and rubies in the shape of the flower kimilsungia.
