Peskov confirms Astakhov's plans to resign after vacation

MOSCOW. July 11 (Interfax) - The Kremlin confirms the resignation of Children's Rights Commissioner Pavel Astakhov from his post after his return from vacation leave, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"We understand that following his return from vacation leave his resignation request will be granted," he told reporters on Monday.

On Monday it was reported that Astakhov had returned from his vacation leave to work.
