Terrorists shell several populated localities, Aleppo airport in Syria - Russian Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. July 12 (Interfax) - Militants of Islamic State (ISIL) and Jabhat al-Nusra (both organizations outlawed in Russia) have shelled several populated localities in Syria's Aleppo, Damascus and Latakia Provinces, as well as an airport in the city of Aleppo in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.
"In the past 24 hours, terrorists have fired improvised artillery weapons and mortars at the populated locality of Al-Hadar and the neighborhoods of Al-Khalidiah, Al-Zahra and the Al-Nayrab airport in the city of Aleppo," the Russian center for reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria said.
Terrorists also shelled the populated localities of Bleliye, Huteita Al-Jarash and Al-Bahariyah in Damascus Province and Meyda in Latakia Province, it said.
"Groups of the Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIL terrorist organizations continue to obstruct the conclusive establishment of the cessation of hostilities regime," the Defense Ministry said.
