Aims of priority projects must be clearly formulated - Putin

MOSCOW. July 13 (Interfax) - The aims of priority development projects in Russia must be clearly formulated, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"I ask the government to adopt a profound, meaningful approach to formulating the end results. I can say without exaggeration that the whole course of our work and its success depends on this," he said at the first session of the Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects.

"We need to tell the public as distinctly and clearly as possible what it is we what to achieve. Of course under no circumstances must we bother people by detailing all the laws, measures and instructions," he said.

Results ought to be measured in terms of positive, comprehensible decisions, for example by shortening queues at clinics, speeding up treatment, he said.
