Kamaz's sales rise 54% in June to 2,351, in H1 by 40.7% to 10,664 - company

MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - The sales of truck producer Kamaz in Russia rose by 54% year-on-year for shipping and import in June to 2,351 trucks, for H1 sales rose 40.7% to 10,664, the company said.

The statement said that the company's market share amounted to 63% (+10 percentage points). According to registrations, Kamaz's sales in Russia in H1 amounted to 9,900 units, up 20% year-on-year, Kamaz's share on the Russian market reached 60% (+11 p.p.).

Kamaz said that the Russian market for 14-tonne trunks in H1 2016 for shipment and import amounted to 17,100 units (+20%), for H1 according to registration - 16,500 units, the decline continued but slowed (-2%).

"The results of April 2016 demonstrated the start of the market's recovery. The substantial market growth for imports and shipping in April and May 2016 against April and May 2015 offset the lag in previous months. Registrations in March and April 2016 exceeded registrations in March and April of last year, the growth of imports and shipments in April and May 2016 against the same period of last year increased registrations in June 2016 compared to June of last year. The decline of shipments in May of this year against that of the previous months was caused by seasonal factors," Kamaz said.
