Some of Russian govt's decisions aimed at preventing economy from "going into tailspin" - Medvedev
DVORIKI VILLAGE, Vladimir region. Aug 2 (Interfax) - The Russian government currently has to be making certain decisions to prevent the national economy from collapsing, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said.
"When the matter is about what we have to do with salaries and pensions, an economic model goes to the background, and we have to make decisions simply so as to prevent the economy from going into a tailspin," Medvedev said at the Terra Scientia on Klyazma River youth educational forum on Tuesday.
The Russian people should not feel "any unfavorable changes even amid the persisting external shocks," Medvedev said.
