Already 69 armed units engaged in Syria cessation of hostilities - Russian Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. Aug 4 (Interfax-AVN) - Agreements on joining the cessation of hostilities were concluded with the field commanders of eight armed opposition units active in Syria's Hama Province, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The number of armed units that have declared their commitment to accepting and abiding by the cessation of hostilities terms grew to 69," the ministry said in a report, which was published on its website on Wednesday.
The Russian Aerospace Forces and Syria's Air Force did not conduct strikes on opposition paramilitary units that have joined the cessation of hostilities and have informed the Russian and American centers for reconciliation of their location, it said.
