Training to repel attacks by underwater saboteurs begins in Black Sea fleet

MOSCOW. Aug 11 (Interfax-AVN) - Training in special methods to support the actions by the Navy will be conducted on the combat training grounds of the Black Sea fleet on August 11-13, the Russian Defense Ministry's press service and information department said.

"The training will focus on the organization of anti-submarine sabotage defense, navigation, hydrographic and hydrometeorological support, anti-mine and search and rescue support. The training will be led by Adm. Vladimir Korolyov, commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy," a report obtained by Interfax-AVN on Thursday said.

The maneuvers will involve over ten ships and supply vessels of the Black Sea fleet and Mi-8 and Ka-27PS naval aviation helicopters.
