Putin appoints members of Russia's delegation to UN General Assembly session, Lavrov to lead
MOSCOW. Aug 26 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will lead the Russian delegation to the 71st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, in line with President Vladimir Putin's directive published on the official web portal of legal information on Friday.
The delegation also includes Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov, Federation Council international affairs committee head Konstantin Kosachyov, Russia's permanent representative in the UN Vitaly Churkin, Foreign Ministry Legal Department Director Roman Kolodkin, International Organizations Department Director Alexander Pankin, Humanitarian Cooperation and Human Rights Department Director Anatoly Viktorov, New Challenges and Threats Department Director Ilya Rogachyov, and Nonproliferation and Arms Control Department Director Mikhail Ulyanov.
The UN General Assembly session will open at the organization's headquarters in New York on September 13.
