Russian oil exports to non-CIS countries up 5.8% in 8M 2016
MOSCOW. Sept 2 (Interfax) - Russian oil exports to non-CIS countries grew 5.8% year-on-year in January-August 2016 to 154.275 million tonnes (4.635 million barrels per day), the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex (CDU TEK) said.
The leap year factor - February this year had one day more than February last year - could have had a bearing on growth for the period.
This included 18.236 million tonnes in August (4.312 million barrels a day), up 1.2% year-on-year.
The Transneft pipeline network carried 146.015 million tonnes of oil in 8M, of which 132.874 million tonnes was Russian oil; and exports bypassing Transneft came to approximately 21.401 million tonnes.
In August alone, exports via Transneft came to 17.946 million tonnes, of which 16.276 million tonnes were Russian oil; and 1.96 million tonnes bypassed Transneft.
Transneft pipelines carried 15.371 million tonnes of export oil via the port of Novorossiysk in January-August (1.494 million tonnes in August), 33.721 million tonnes via Primorsk (4.597 million tonnes), 20.692 million tonnes via Kozmino (2.406 million tonnes) and 12.397 million tonnes via Ust-Luga (1.4 million tonnes).
The Rosneft oil company exported 67.584 million tonnes of oil via Transneft to non-CIS countries in January-August (8.31 million tonnes in August), Lukoil - 14.541 million tonnes (1.392 million tonnes), Surgutneftegas - 20.745 million tonnes (2.911 million tonnes), Gazprom Neft - 5.524 million tonnes (527,000 tonnes), Tatneft - 7.738 million tonnes (1.031 million tonnes) and Bashneft - 3.85 million tonnes (524,000 tonnes).
Enterprises that are not part of vertically integrated oil companies exported 9.714 million tonnes of oil via Transneft in 8M (1.293 million tonnes in August), and production-sharing agreement (PSA) project operators exported 874,500 tonnes.
Transit of oil from Kazakhstan totaled 11.09 million tonnes (1.318 million tonnes) and transit of Azerbaijani crude - 728,900 tonnes (169,700 tonnes). Transit of oil from Turkmenistan came to 240,500 tonnes (46,400 tonnes) and transit of oil from Belarus to 1.082 million tonnes (135,600 tonnes).
Russian oil companies increased oil exports to CIS countries 8.7% year-on-year in January-August to 13.916 million tonnes, all to Belarus.
