New head appointed at Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, MiG

MOSCOW. Sept 7 (Interfax) - Kamil Gainutdinov has been appointed president of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) , United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) said in a statement.

Gainutdinov, a Boeing Commercial Airplanes senior executive, replaces Ilya Tarasenko, who was appointed general director of another UAC subsidiary, RSC MiG.

RSC MiG's former head, Sergei Korotkov, will chair the board of directors at MiG.

Korotkov will "focus on the work, which is gaining key importance, of general designer and vice president for innovations at UAC, including coordination of strategic development throughout the corporation and the creation of a unified engineering center," UAC said.
