Putin to attend CIS summit in Bishkek on Friday - Kremlin press service
MOSCOW. Sept 14 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will participate in a CIS summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on September 16, the Kremlin press service said.
"Given the 25th anniversary of the CIS, the chiefs of state will summarize results of the activity of this interstate association and will exchange opinions on key areas of further development of the Commonwealth," the report said.
A number of multilateral documents will be adopted at the summit, among them statements on the suppression of international terrorism, the global drug problem, the 25th anniversary of the CIS, and the 70th anniversary of the end of the Nuremberg trial, it said.
"Organizational resolutions are also planned to be signed, for instance, pertaining to Russia's presidency at the CIS in 2017," the press service said.
