Russia ready to influence Syrian leadership to secure fulfillment of truce terms - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Sept 16 (Interfax) - The truce process in Syria is generally moving forward, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"The Russian side continues to use its influence in order to secure the implementation of the ceasefire agreements. And we hope that our American colleagues will also do the same," Peskov told reporters on Friday.

The truce process is continuing despite mutual complaints in the region, he said.

"On the whole, it is possible to say that the process is so far moving forward, albeit with certain shortcomings," he said.
