Iran speaks against changing Azerbaijan's state border - ambassador in Baku

BAKU. Sept 19 (Interfax) - Iran is ready to offer assistance in settling the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, its ambassador Mohsen Pakayeen said.

"Iran is ready to render assistance with the purpose of the speedy settlement of the Karabakh conflict. We support the territorial integrity [of Azerbaijan] and are opposed to the change of state borders," Pakayeen said at a Monday press confernece on the expiry of his diplomatic mission in Baku.

He voiced hope that the Nagorno Karabakh conflict would be settled soon.
