Azerbaijani foreign minister asks intermediaries to step up Karabakh settlement talks
BAKU. Sept 22 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and the OSCE Minsk Group cochairmen have discussed ways to accelerate the Karabakh settlement talks, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's press service said.
"Mammadyarov met with the OSCE Minsk Group cochairmen in New York, on the sidelines of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly, to discuss ways of boosting the Karabakh settlement talks and achieving results," the press service said.
The latest provocations of Armenia, including military exercises in the Agdam district occupied by the unrecognized Karabakh republic, are aimed at disrupting the negotiating process, the foreign minister said.
