CSTO secretary general to visit Tajikistan to prepare CSTO Collective Security Council's session
MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax-AVN) - Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha will pay a visit to Tajikistan on September 27-29, the CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov told Interfax-AVN on Monday.
"Meetings with Tajikistan's top political and military officials, such as President Emomali Rahmon, Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Sherali Mirzo and Security Council Secretary Abdurakhim Kakhkharov, are planned during the visit," he said.
"The visit will take place as part of the series of visits to the CSTO member states for the purpose of discussing the issues of preparation to the session of the Collective Security Council and the joint meeting of the Council of foreign ministers, the Council of defense ministers and the committee of the secretaries of the CSTO's Security Councils, which will take place in Yerevan on October 14, 2016," he said.
The situation in the Central Asian region of collective security will also be discussed during the visit, Zainetdinov said.
