German MPs visit State Duma to 'synchronize watches' with Russian counterparts from defense committee - source
MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - A group of Bundestag (the lower house of Germany's federal parliament) members visited the lower house of the Russian parliament on Tuesday to hold a meeting with members of the State Duma defense committee.
Upon the initiative of the German side, members of the subcommittee on disarmament and arms control of the Bundestag international committee met with some State Duma defense committee members on Tuesday, a source in the State Duma administration told Interfax.
The counterparts touched on some issues related to the current international politics agenda.
"One may say that it was synchronization of watches with regard to rehabilitation of bilateral relations," the source said.
The source did not mention the names of the German members of parliament who came to Moscow but said that all are members of the subcommittee on disarmament and arms control of the Bundestag international committee.
