Bashneft to produce 21.5 mln tonnes of oil in 2019 - Bashkortostan
UFA. Oct 27 (Interfax) - Bashneft could increase oil production to 21.5 million tonnes in 2019, including 14.6 million tonnes within Bashkortostan, the regional economic development ministry said in materials presented at a session of the republic's State Assembly on Thursday.
"Most of the oil and gas [in Bashkortostan] is produced by vertically integrated oil company Bashneft. Bashneft's expansion of its resource base, both outside the region and in its key region of operations - the Republic of Bashkortostan, will affect the preservation of the stable development and positive growth dynamic of oil and gas production," the materials state.
The company's efficient work at mature fields in Bashkortostan and successful development of new assets in the Nenets Autonomous District and Western Siberia make it possible to forecast that stable development will continue and Bashneft will increase oil production by 1%-3% per year, the ministry said.
