MegaFon set to pay 24 rubles per share for 9M, total of 15 bln rubles
MOSCOW. Oct 27 (Interfax) - The board of directors of MegaFon has recommended to shareholders interim dividends for the first nine months of the year equal to 24.19 rubles per share or a total of 15 billion rubles, the company said in materials.
MegaFon earlier said it planned to examine the interim dividend issue at the end of 2016 depending on the company's financial performance. The source of the 9M dividend payment will be unallocated earnings from previous years, the company said.
An extraordinary shareholder meeting is scheduled for December 9, the register closes November 7.
Earlier at an annual meeting MegaFon shareholders confirmed dividend payments for 2015 and interim dividends for Q1 2016. Payments for 2015 were 48.38 rubles per share for a sum of about 30 billion rubles. Interim dividends were 8.06 rubles per share, for a total of about 5 billion rubles.
So, total dividend payments during 2016 will amount to 50 billion rubles, however shareholders will receive the main part of funds at the end of the year.
