Zyuganov predicts pre-term presidential election in Russia

MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax) - The Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov believes that the Russian presidential election may take place earlier than scheduled, in 2017 rather than 2018.

"We should [make] a fundamental choice based on attitudes towards us and in light of the American election. We have the presidential election ahead of us. Everyone is yelling that it will [happen] in 2018. You will see, it will take place in 2017," Zyuganov said during a broadcast of the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

The presidential election in Russia is scheduled for March 2018.
