Eastern Partnership foreign ministers to meet in Yerevan

YEREVAN. Nov 16 (Interfax) - The eighth informal meeting of Eastern Partnership foreign ministers will take place in Yerevan on November 17.

European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, European External Action Service (EEAS) Deputy Secretary General Jean-Christophe Belliard and high-ranking delegates from Eastern Partnership member countries will participate in the meeting, the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service said.

Yerevan is also preparing to host a meeting of Eastern Partnership science and technology ministers dedicated to research and innovation.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will receive the visiting delegations.

The European Union launched the Eastern Partnership project for the purposes of integration with Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
