World grain market needs transparent riles that all can understand - Dvorkovich

SOCHI. Nov 18 (Interfax) - The world grain market needs transparent rules of play that are clear to all, Deputy Russian Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said.

"The world grain market needs transparent rules of play that everybody can understand. The main players in this market need a stable policy," he said at the plenary session of the 2nd World Grain Forum in Sochi,

Dvorkovich said Russia had become one of the world's biggest agricultural producers and played an active role in the grain market, "moreover we are doing this together with partners, we're doing it openly, in such a way that is convenient for all partners to work," he said.

Seven years have passed since the first World Grain Forum took place. Explaining the lengthy gap, Dvorkovich said: "We had a pause because we thought that ahead of the second forum we should put the ideas and our pledges made at the first forum into practice." "We've done most of what we promised and I think we have something to be proud of," he said,

He also said that Russia's ranking among the leading agricultural powers was "more important than any other title."
