Implementation of political packages, security agreements in Donbas first priority - Gryzlov

MINSK. Dec 7 (Interfax) - The Russian representative in the Contact Group on Ukraine, Boris Gryzlov, has insisted on implementing the political package of the Package of Measures as a matter of first priority in resolving the situation in Donbas.

"Key to resolving all these problems is implementation of the political package and strict adherence to the security agreements. Only by having resolved these issues shall we be able to move forward," Gryzlov told journalists.

"It is impossible to resolve the economic and humanitarian issues without resolving the key points relating to security and political reform stipulated in the Minsk Agreements," he aid.

"Kyiv is trying to walk away from a discussion of the political agenda by substituting it with provisions from the economic sphere and humanitarian issues," Gryzlov said.

"Ukraine's attempts to concentrate on the issues of the humanitarian bloc look like actions aimed at dragging out the whole peaceful-settlement process," the Russian representative said.
