Putin to present state awards for charity, human-rights achievements on Thursday for first time

MOSCOW. Dec 7 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will bestow state awards for outstanding achievements in the field of charitable and human rights activities on Thursday, December 8, the Kremlin press office said.

The awards were established in 2016 and will be presented for the first time.

The winner of the state award in the field of human rights campaigning is the Executive Director of an international public organization, Spravedlivaya Pomoshch (Fair Aid), Yelizaveta Glinka.

Alexander Tkachenko, General Director of Children's Hospice, will be honored with the state charity award.
