State corporation Rostec reports prevention of theft of 1.8 bln rubles from corporation
MOSCOW. Dec 9 (Interfax) - The state corporation Rostec in cooperation with law enforcement agencies prevented in 2016 the theft from it of over 1.8 billion rubles; 15 criminal cases were opened, the Rostec press service said.
"According to the materials provided by the state corporation to law enforcement agencies, 15 criminal cases were opened. The curbing of illegal activities in just two episodes prevented damage and eliminated the threat of alienation of property worth some 1.8 billion rubles," Nikolay Volobuyev, deputy CEO of Rostec, was quoted by the press service as saying.
The press service said all actions had been taken in cooperation with the Federal Security Service, the Interior Ministry, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the Russian Investigative Committee.
