Medvedev: 20 regions to receive right to create territorial development zones

GORKI. Dec 27 (Interfax) - Twenty Russian regions, including several in the North Caucasus, are receiving the right to create territorial development zone under a resolution signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

"I want to announce that I have signed the resolution that authorizes 20 regions of the country to create territorial development zones, that have the opportunity to develop, anticipating a certain amount of state support," Medvedev said at a meeting of the government commission on the socioeconomic development of the North Caucasus Federal District.

The list includes six internal republics in the North Caucasus.
