Rogozin rules out possible external interference into Russian military cybernetworks

MOSCOW. Dec 29 (Interfax) - Russia is ready to curb any attempts at interference from the outside into the computer networks of combat control of the troops, including the strategic nuclear forces, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 (VGTRK) television channel.

"Of course, from the point of view of ensuring security of our cybernetworks, from the point of view of blocking these attacks, which are being carried out through the open networks, we are inferior to no one now for sure. Therefore, you can only imagine how this function in our defensive cause is developed in order to block any aggressions, which can disrupt the stable control system of the troops, including the strategic forces. Thus, we have all this," he said.

Rogozin has taken ironically Washington's statements on intrusion of Russian hackers into the process of the presidential race in the United States.

"The Americans have made the whole 'Benny Hill show' of it: as if during the election campaign, someone has allegedly interfered, like Russia, in their elections. Thus, if this interference was possible to fancy, this points to the highest level of cybernetworks and control of the cybernetworks, which could exist in the Russian Federation," Rogozin said.
