Russian Foreign Ministry denies closure of Anglo-American School in Moscow
MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has described as inaccurate U.S. media reports that the Russian side intends to close the Anglo-American School in Moscow in response to the latest U.S. sanctions 'package'.
"It is a lie. Obviously, the White House has completely lost its mind and started to think up sanctions against its own children," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Facebook on Friday.
"The CNN television channel and other Western media outlets once again circulated inaccurate information with reference to American official sources," she said.
Press spokesperson of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow Maria Olson told Interfax earlier that the American diplomatic mission had seen reports about such Russian counter-measures, but she referred requests for clarification to the Russian side.
